Hi, my name is Elise Marie Esquivel and whenever I write anything - email, letters, ridiculously long lists about why the T-Rex is the best dinosaur - the computer always wants to change my last name to "Squirrel." I've come to a point in my life now where I am embracing all of life's "squirrels" with a more open mind.

I've grown up with a passion for colors, textures, and spending hours outside in nature. A lot of my work harnesses these early passions - bold colors and a variety of shapes and textures - because I believe that's how our memories work as impressions, snippets and caricatures of the things we carry in our hearts.

No matter what, art has been a tool for healing, self exploration and joy seeking. I hope by sharing my paper pretties I can spark those qualities in other people's lives, too.
